Blindsight

I'd never be able to tolerate
one as eclectic as I am,
so, I really cannot blame you
for going, "on the lam".

In fact, it's quite surprising
you stuck it out this long,
for you're the one who realized, first
that our union was all wrong.

In my defense, I must explain
I tried with all my might,
you'll never know the shock I felt
when Ididn't have things, right!

Now I'm not slow, nor can you say
that I can't take a "hint",
but, I saw the same picture
with quite a different tint!

It takes two to tango
and to be on the same team,
but, what you saw discouraged you
and for me, it filled a dream!

I guess communication
in relationships is "key";
but since you're gone for good, this time
I guess the blame must fall on me.

This reads like a really cool little limerick to me!

Maybe think about rewriting this with the stanza structure of a limerick :).
