RABBIT HOLE!

RABBIT HOLE!

Your thoughts are in a whirl
Your mind in a trance
And you've forgotten how
To mitigate the dance

Your head is on fire
Your heart it pounds
There is no easy way
For you to come down

This lifelong obsession
Of seeing askance
Will not allow you
To grow or advance

In the end you realize
The truth of the matter
With your head in your hands
Your thoughts begin to scatter,

But for one brief moment
Your mind congeals
Suddenly your pretensions
Are blatantly revealed

As you slip back into your rabbit hole!
Your reality begins to grind
Lost in a moment,
Which never really unwinds?

Sounds like the song of the tragic over thinker. I’ve experienced some intense panic attacks in my days. Anxious attachment is my normal state of being. I’ve also had a few bouts with deep depression during periods of my life. I’m working on it. It’s really difficult sometimes and others I feel like I’ve got great coping skills.

When the past or the future owns your thinking, you’re in trouble. Tim

this was, what I thought to be a permanent state of being. I was told by a professional that it might not get any better. so I tried to suicide. I felt I could not live like that! I was wrong and so was the counselor who told me that. she should have kept it to herself. I wish you all the best.

ACCEPTANCE ISN'T VICTIMIZATION, ACCEPTANCE EMPOWERS US AS INDIVIDUALS TO DO MORE THAN WE
THINK WE CAN. IT ALLOWS US TO DO MORE THAN BE A VICTIM.
