Would you like a break
a sabbatical

make no mistake
a few hours leave I take
for more poetry to make

as I visit the wash room
the loo
get rid of my nose of flu
no not Covid
(that wasn't home in 2015)

a break is something we all should take
go down by the river
Too many days we don't make
time, not even a sliver

Grab a pole, dig some worms
put your line in the water
Sit by a pond or the sea
I think it's something to order

Come back around
refreshed once again
I sit here on common ground
while you rid yourself of pain

Sabbatical? It doesn’t connect to the rest and breaks the flow of rhyme and
Changes pattern of rhythm. Other then that I enjoyed it and I also relate you can always take a break but not without a good reason. Thank you for this poem
