It's hard to breathe
because covid
has no chance to leave
it flies on its own wings
oh someone help me
I can't breathe
all my life I have lived
ever so free
how come this devil
has no reprieve
none can believe
not even autumn leaves
strewn in our lawns
help me
can the winds bring about a change
life is coming to a standstill
because covid has no chance to leave
it flies on its own wings
It's hard to breathe
because ah
covid has no chance
to leave

Very dangerous disease!
"it flies on its own wings", This line gives Covid19 to enjoy a subtle praise. Lol! Here COVID-19 has gotten the strength or the capacity to penetrate anywhere. A communicable respiratory disease that jumps from human to animals during close contact.
dear lovedly,
line #2: change "coz" to (because) for a smoother write.
covid has been with us for quite a while (I'm getting so tired of it!) wear your mask when you go out or have visitors. and wash your hands regularly. you should be all right. in your poem you have made the point of how covid has effected you life and what you do. and how unhappy you are with it. covid is a killer, we must not forget that, ever! good write, my friend!
*hugs Cat
I totally agree...
with Cat about the second line. [because] would make it smoother! Nice stuff, lovedly! A very lucid look at what "Covid" has done to our lives. Good job! ~ Geez.

Thanks two best friends

Good stuff.
I can relate to the frustration
not to mention
the resignation.
I've had the desease,
I've had the vaccines,
and now,
I've had it up to here
with Covid-19
I think we're just
going to have trust
that this stupid virus
will keep infecting us,
and live with it.
no choice
have we
Hi loved
a good choice for tho contest because it is so relatable. The virus worked its way all the way through my family but thankfully it put none of us in the hospital. You take care because it is harder on those who have been around a while
we can only try and protect ourselves
rest depends on our inner systems
each is predominantly different
Glad to know you all are well
Still wear masks etc Stan
