Mind like a lark

My body sinks deep
Into the
Soft white silks of slumber .
While my mind like a lark
lies awake within the dark .
my eyes torn and tattered
by the Beatific yet bleak color of blue .
Bellows out onto the
World.

“ for world turn the tides of time towards
the alluring seas of my yesteryear.
So I can flow Back to that
once familiar face.
who’s eyes once
swirled within
The sweet
serenades of
sapphire and hands.
So cold and calm
yet so caring
and warm.
I yearn for
those hands
to once again
be firmly grasped
upon mine. “

There is such a strong pleading in your words. They brin tear to ones eyes. Just a beautiful write

Geezer

feel the tugs on the heartstrings. Nice job! One thing, is the word really [bellows] like roaring or shouting? Or did you mean billows as in: swell or surge? ~ Geez.
