Soon I'll Sleep Again

Soon I’ll sleep again,
And I will feel no pain,
For a little time,
Peace will be all mine,
My mind will seek
Freedom from the past,
And I’ll be carefree,
Although it will not last.

Geezer

that Teddy was speaking of the bad things in our pasts; not our whole past. If that were true, we would all be walking around in a constant state of amnesia. Not knowing where we are or how we got here. But, I do understand about how some things are too painful to keep at the forefront of our mind. As "Old Blue Eyes" said; "Regrets, I've had a few." So have we all, is what I think Teddy was saying. Yes, sleep is a mighty healer and we can forget, for a time. Thank whatever, for that. I heard this loud and clear. ~ Geez.
