Another fire sermon

I
I saw there was a twig on the horizon
by raising my gaze up and down

Yet knew the blaspheme arrived on
When one runs from the hills and the town.

To that sacred sulking perpetual sea
green in its puke of the world

II
Here we have laid it, beneath our clean feet
To bathe, cool, and immerse

That the currawong sings in a blackened tree
may be nothing short of miracle

To you or me, whose eyes in colour, see
where the poor fool should fly to

Attempt, by all means, to acquiesce
Perform, as fool, undress, redress,

Cool your fires, Rossetti's aunt said so
Tell whichever bird, you greet

In the morning, "hello" -let not
That Heraclitus rush get the better of you;

Rather, boil slowly - as good frogs do,
And when asked your thoughts on fire,

Do, as we do: and play the fool.

Geezer

I have the thought that this has, in some way, to do with the recent fires that have so devastated Australia. I would also guess, that it is in criticism of one of your politicians? I do seem to remember that there was/is some problem with the way that these fires have been addressed. I am puzzled at the use of rhyme in the first part and then the free verse, although it still flows well. ~ Gee.

Country is on fire, and the PM is on holiday! Seventy to 80 meter flames 1000 celcius - beyond all records.More than 50 current active catastrophic fires, More than two million hectares burnt. Words fail really.
If I prayed, i would be praying for rain, red dystopian smog in Sydney daily - and it's now overlapping with California's season, we send fire experts over there, they send them over here, but everyone is getting pretty worn out.
