LadyBug Come To Visit

ladybug on my bed,
her body orange black polka dots,
her white eyes watching me.

ladybug where did you come from,
it's wintertime outside,
four nights in a row you're on my bed.

first night, you crawled on my forehead
second night, you crawled on my hairline
third night you bit me, I find you on my bed

fourth night i saw crawling on my bed,
finally I see you, out the door you go.

Hello Barbara! It is a pleasure to read your lines again.
thank you for sharing your interesting poem, it reminded me some of Basho poems.
Remember his poem from Narrow Road to the Interior?

Eaten alive by
lice and fleas-- now the horse
beside my pillow pees

i used Sam Hamill translation

It's often these tiny things in life that make for the best poetry. You are lucky that your visitor is ladybugs. For some reason all I get are stink bugs lol
