Have you ever had an inspiration for a poem then decided to not put pen to paper until you had it "right"? Then upon further thought and study you find your train of thought has derailed and the muse died in the wreck? I know this has happened to me a Lot which results in poetry begun then never finished.....awaiting perfection.
Guess what? This site is where perfection is strived for but not a site where perfection is expected. So I usually get a poem, warts and all, posted as quick as I can. Then let comments and suggestions accrue then edit ...over and over again over (sometimes) years.
So don't await perfection and lose the muse. POST your poem and let a Bunch of talented people help tweak it.........stan holliday

regards and thanks...
Stan,
I totally agree. Usually just the act of getting an incomplete piece out there is the push my brain needs if I had been stumped by a poem.
This is such an important reminder. Thank you for sharing it!
