SEEING TEA

Sitting planning for tomorrow
a glass of iced tea at my hand.
The clear glass reflects my fragile plans.

The tea is how plans come to pass.
I can foretell but minutes only
for as both tea and time's depth increases
things blur and accuracy decreases.

The ice is bumps along the way;
I know they're there to run into
and often shatter plans
as they themselves splinter.
Time affects them both.

Such is time,
such is tea,
such is me.
Take another sip.

If only life were as hot and tasty as some the cups of tea i've had. A good poem depicting life, cleverly done. Regards Roscoe...

I spent a moment looking at my Tea
But all I could see
was a swirling mass of a wet brown entity
Someone had added cream and drawn a smiley face
I thought what a waste
Now have I read of this before
Others from far off lands will say chai
But no milk and sugar
I would rather die.
Have a great day
but now Winter is coming
I don't want you outside with Iced Tea
Take care young traveller, Yours Ian.T

With the poetic comment I almost thought you were loved lol. Some people drink scalding coffee in summer's heat so I reckon my drinking iced tea in winter isn't too bad. And the cloudiness of tea kinda mirrors the cloudiness of trying to make plans for a future which is never clear. Thanks for dropping by.......stan
