Queen of the Deemed

She'll walk in treating yesterday
as if 'twas yet to come,
and the past is due to something she just said;

then, turn around and giggle
for she knows what happens next,
so forgetting 'bout the future's best, instead.

In your eyes she'll spy a topic
that no-one else has seen,
as it happens it's profound and so obscure;

she'll then question how it was we came
to merely sit around,
and speak of things she barely can endure.

She worries not, where time goes
claims that waiting is her style,
and she currently minds not, one little bit;

yet on the inside brewing
that, least bit begins to settle,
in her craw until she starts to pitch a fit.

That least bit commences churning
starts to feeling right at home,
grows teeth and on her soul begins to gnaw;

where it then decides to surface
with a sudden attitude,
then we're corced to thinking that's her flaw.

She sleeps with one eye open
if she closes them, at all
while discerning if you've really earned her trust;

careful not to draw attention
to the fact she's vulnerable,
her insecurities are not to be discussed!

Effortless, and single-handedly
she'll draw your eyes away,
until the chance she's weak seems very, very small;

then she calmly will remind you
of the truth in all she's said,
for she deemed it "so", and said "so", afterall !
Yes, she's deemed it "so", and said "so", afterall !

Took me three or four readings to get the pace, but now i really enjoying reading this poem. Not sure if she is mystical or someone you know, but either way she's a character. Regards Roscoe..

(As with both of my ex-wives...my other PC kept going, "out on me"!" )
All "seriousness" aside, this is one I, personally enjoy reading aloud; because of it's particular "cadence"! OH! Lest I forget! I re-regard thee, also; & thanx....
...sincerely, sir roscoe;
