Hurt me Not

Think of me when it hurts

I have faced greater misery
worth it's worth
and
having experienced more than most,
still upon mankind's wisdom and folly
I boast

alas some understand some don’t,
move on is all I say
none can have one's way

Inspired by Non sequiturs poem? about moving on after a bad relationship.

Like the lines: having experienced more than most, still upon mankind's wisdom and folly I boast.

I think you are saying "wisdom comes with experience". - so true.

Your wisdom has now been added to the universe!

Nice poem - as always, out of the ordinary and thought provoking.

as usual! However, I see the beauty of this one. I see many things in this one and I like what I see! Thanks for sharing this one with us. ~ Gee

We all stand at a crossroads each moment of our time here,
there in front of you are the probability tracts to infinity,
there behind is the wisdom of the years held in a single fine strand,
for all the moments you have been here.
Now do we use that fine strand to make the best choice,
of which way to go, or do we go blindly forward.
This as always is our choice from moment to moment,
let whoever or whatever guides us in truth as to which way to go,
Do a damn good Job

As usual it is late,
and this poor old shit has to get up early tomorrow.
Still I have a little of Now to share with a fellow traveller
This Sojourn of ours,
that has touched for a fraction of all our now's.
Here we can seek out the truths of being,
and the needs to go forward.
Now to go Blind or to lurch forward blindly.
You may ask young Bard.
Of all the poets to ask of me to see these things.
Even if I did see or was told by one of the children,
Do you think that it could be told.
This is the joy of being
The uncertainty of our being.
Use the past to Journey on young Bard
it is better that way..
Yours Ian.T
