To be happy.

Yes, really happy,
Gratuitous, unearned happiness
Yes I am happy.

It shakes me to my core
Perhaps frisson or tremble is a better word

It is rare
It is precious
I am delighted

And…
Above all
Perhaps the perfect thing,

I don’t fear its inevitable ending.

A simple piece that carries a mood that I hope is infectious,
It is great to be happy, we shall not worry about it's inevitable end we will enjoy it while it is here,
Yours as always Ian.T

That Lonnie what is he on about Tail is that a typo or what????
Oxtail soup now there's a nice piece of tail, I wish he wouldn't talk in riddles there are enough vague poetic statements here as it is.
I was thinking about age things this morning like kisses, memory and many other things that become vague, I hope someone would let me know what happened to all those simply nice things I have a vague recollection of, even smiling LOL.
Take care Yours as always Ian.T

Good for you.
I'd re-arrange the first three lines with a few changes for a more logical consistancy.

Yes, I am happy.
 Really happy!
( A)Gratuitous, unearned happiness
..............I liked the word "gratuitious"

You make me feel happy too

.

weirdelf

thanks.

Something interesting. Do you realise there was more a political/ideological content in that suggestion than a poetical one?

Rula

I only cared for the logical consistancy when I suggested the re-arrangement of those lines

You might like to tell me how!

Indeed.

Joy is infectious. I am delirious.

Interesting to see you have a mild emotional side, I am interested to see more writing of this nature from you.
