The submission of a poem to Neopoet, is done to find out about Form and Theme.
The critique should be of the total work.
We have many members that critique the form and I honour their knowledge of poetry, they have qualified in their field.
I on the other hand critique mostly the Theme, as I think that after 70 years I am qualified in this department, though I have tried to learn some form lol.
I can see Jess laughing at that bit.
You see I put works here to receive teaching on both Form and Theme any poet that thinks that they can skirt any part of this should join Mothercare.
The only time Form and Theme are let go is when a poem is about a circumstance of life, where it is either a Cry for help or just a Cry, I think there is a tick box for taking care in these fields.
