my first line would be a
PROMPT
LIKE THIS

''How do elephants do ----what you all do..'' no not in a ZOO but Jungle would do....'' woo hoo

as soon as they come in. Only thing needed is to make sure nobody posts more prompt per week than allowed. Have poets post the prompt right next to poem title. This distinguishes where the idea comes from and also gives the person who furnished the prompt a bow.
Go to form and begin by posting a request for prompt and allow nothing but prompts on the forum page. Fairly easy peasy

Your Idea of a prompt for writing can always be put similar to the Competitions we run here, or a title in a Blog under a monthly heading would do.
Lovely to see more engagement with Neopoet, and a way of having more poets involved with the day to day poetry.

appreciate the ideas and thoughts shared by you...so who is going to take this idea out of inertia and get it moving and when? I will watch with interest...though as said by Stan it would be like a weekly contest...i think there need not be any prize in material form for this...personally I am looking at it to stimulate like a muse and see how others would be share their perception...

Yes indeed Barbara runs a Renga ...but it is an on and off thing and not a weekly prompt as is being thought of here...i regularly participate in those Renga....

I like prompts. I'm a prompt nut at times. Word lists, themes or photos all are my favs! Bring them on I say!!
