On March 3, 2003, Neopoet.com launched with a simple idea and a humble look. We’ve had many “firsts”, and so we know a few anniversaries. On December 3, 2006, we launched our online poetry workshop and community. About a year later, we held our first elections and a volunteer team of members took on day-to-day control (and as a reminder… the nomination period for our 19th Administrative Council is currently open). We relaunched in late 2010. Today, we’re a vibrant hub for more than 4,000 poets in 70 countries, from Australia to Zimbabwe, with an active team of volunteer workshop leaders, chat hosts, guides, and mentors.

We wanted to thank everyone who, in the past decade, volunteered their time, trusted us with their work, and have supported us in so many ways.
