some think of themself as inadequate
useless as a bucket of spit
some think of themself as the greatest thing since
Ben and Jerry's double mocha chip
they are dead wrong
you know it
I know it
this leads me to believe
any assessment of self is suspect
at best
no need to add the "I am who
no need to add the "I am who I thin I am" at the end, You have already established your thoughts on the matter. The poem was perfect for me and so very true it's just the last line that thru me off. If you like it, leave it in, I git what I wanted from the entire piece despite that. Nicely done.
I had originally started this
I had originally started this piece with the line "am I who I think I am", then dropped it as I was about to submit the poem,
then for some unknown reason, added it to the bottom. I'm glad your senses came in to play...I removed it.
thanks for the kind and generous comments.
p.s. I admire your rebel spirit...so refreshing
