brittle light
By brittle light, 11 June, 2011

an eerie sight
full of reigning stars
drip-dropping poems
mysting the light
I cry
wondering why

so full of distortion
contortions
knots
and tangles
wrackings of misused judgement
guilt, lonliness
or gigantic, overzealous love
bordering on
"you've got to be kidding"

yet, so beautifully written
flaunting finesse
and exquisite refinement
I can only forgive myself
for imbibing in these fabulous frothy notions
while struggling to maintain
my masculinity
